Bourne Mill, Tiverton, RI

Once the largest cotton manufacturing mill in the world, developer E.A. Fish transformed this eight-building 1881 mill complex into 165 units of mixed-income housing into the area. The complex was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2006, and Thermo Expert installed over 1,000 historic replica windows to help the developer maintain Bourne Mill’s historic character. Bourne Mill achieved a LEED Silver certification from the by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), and also received the 2010 J. Timothy Anderson Award for Best Historic Rehab Utilizing LIHTCs (National Housing & Rehabilitation Association).
